which hdd?

I'm in the need for a new hdd as mine has failed. It will be a general putpose drive so a decent combination of performance and noise is needed. It will be the only drive in the machine, I need around 1tb.

I'm out of touch with drives. Please could someone point me in the general diretion of a good all roundet. Thanks.

Get a samsung f3, it can be bought for £37 if you look around. It's the best all round performer.

I have 8 of them and have had no problems.

I don't know about prices elsewhere but you get free postage with OcUK.

Watch out as the cheaper ones may be 5,400rpm spin speed.
