PC?? Are you being serious?! How on earth does the PC have better graphics over the 360 and PS3?!

Not really true because you can build an entire PC for less than £300 that'll run Crysis very nicely on the likes of high settings. Your claim of the graphics card alone costing more than a PS3 and 360 combined is way off.
Gone are the days of needing a £400 graphics card to max games out. The fact is aside from Metro 2033 not much else has pushed graphics to the next limit on PC yet.
Edit: Oh and my answer to the OP is ; PC > PS3 > 360
Edit #2: Actually it was like, a year and a half ago I built a system for less than £300 that was 'Crysis ready' so now you can probably get even better bargains! (8800GT was an amazing deal back then though)

You can get a 360 for £99 without a hard drive, so it is an inexpensive device relative to a decent PC, for £99 out of the box (give or take the price of a hdmi/vga cable) I'd say it has very good visuals. I wouldn't dispute the fact that a decent PC doesn't cost as much these days as they once did, but as you said, that's probably because PC game graphics and improving exponentially anymore.

How? 8800GT with a Core 2 Duo doesn't need an expensive power supply and I would imagine that the replacement/equivalent of the 8800GT uses even less power.

Reread the op, he said very high end graphics cards, these cost £4-500. I did not put that much thought into the matter as frankly its so obvious the PC is technologically superior that it doesn't require the effort

My spec of a Opty 146, 2gb RAM and a 4670 GFX card runs Crysis on medium smoothly.
Obviously, thats medium so a lot of bells and whistles missing. but the game still looks great

I guess it depends what your definition of very high end is, a Radeon 5850 is nowhere near £500.
Though if he was referring to dual cards then that's a whole other matter.

Surely everyone's definition of very high end is the very most expensive/high performing cards? Either way, any interpretation of the term very high end will result in a graphics card that costs more than either console.
