Which mac browser is your favourite?

The load time for firefox on my mac is really quite long, esspecially when compared witht the dreadfully speedy Shiira.

Does anyone else think they should start again with Firefox, remove all the bloat etc and have a nice fast browser.

Maybe call it Phoenix or something.

I'm reminded of the first episode of the Dilbert animated show :p

I think Firefox is just fine - Safari's more a memory hog than Firefox for me. I caught it using 450MB the other day!

I've started using the firefox 3 beta. Now that it actually looks like an OS X application, i've returned to using it as my default browser. I like it. Not as fast as others, but extensions man. It's all about the extensions! Just, gotta hang around for a couple of extensions to be written for the FF3 Beta. Most I use have been though!

I use Firefox on both my work laptop (XP) and my own mac running Leopard.

I tried the initial release of Safari but it put me off it. I've tried Safari 3 recently and it seemed exceptionally quick compared to Firefox (had a go at the web-widget tool too).

Nick.

All the years and I used Firefox I never installed a single extension.

Ok, maybe one (the G Mail notifier) but then I found that OS X had it's own version and dumped it in the same day!.

It just baffles me what people actually "need" when they talk about extensions. Turn on the ad blockers, use some common sense and you can't go wrong.

Oh, and I always had Firefox2 looking like Safari with a skin anyway :p

I just love Safari too much to dump it now.. perhaps a "open in a new tab" function would be nice, damn I hate alt+clicking

Any link that the web developer has assigned to open in a new window will open in a new tab (without using CMD) if you install Safari Stand.

If the web developer chooses to make the link open in the same window then it will, no matter what browser you use (I think).

You show here that FF3 Beta now has a nice "Mac Look" but when I installed it, it looked exactly the same as FF2. Is it just a theme you have downloaded?

Just recently been converted to Safari. Very happy with the speed and seems quite light weight compared to Firefox.

Installed Firefox when I first got my MacBook almost a month ago. Used for less than a week I tried out Safari and have not gone back :)

I know this is an old thread but I'm loving Safari other than twicetab seemed to install fine but no matter where I click I can't seem to get the tabs to work?

I'm using the apple key+T at the moment but the twicetab feature would help?

And if anyone can recommend any other addon's, theme's sites I'd be greatful :)
