Hi everyone.
I am looking into getting a new monitor to replace my 20" 1680x1050 Dell one.

I would like it to match as many of the following as possible: :D
- I am looking for one that is sub £200,
- Either 1920x1080 or 1920x1200
- At least one HDMI connection
- Black

Does anyone recommend any, and what would be better, 1920x1080 or 1200?
I have a Blu-ray/HD-DVD drive in my setup so will be used for that aswell as gaming.

Thanks for listening

Less than £200, HDMI input, at least 22" and in stock too! Well unless I've missed any you have the following four to choose from:-

1) Viewsonic VX2260wm 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor [VX2260WM]

2) LG Flatron W2261V 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor [W2261V]

3) Hyundai H245W 23.6" Widescreen LCD Monitor [H245W]

4) Dell SP2309W 23" Widescreen LCD Monitor [SP2309W]

There are a two Asus 22" monitors with HDMI inputs, but they're out of stock at this moment in time. I see that you've already decided that no.4 is more than you want to give for size of the panel, so that leaves you three to choose from. I guess you could discount no.1 too as it only has 21.5" viewable screen, so that narrows it down to either the LG or Hyundai. The biggest bugbear is that you're insisting on an HDMI input, otherwise you would have a lot more to choose from.

I am happy to get one that it 23.6" as long as it is as good as the Dell and has at least 1 DVI and 1 HDMI port, with a resolution of 1080+.

Also, i would prefer one from a company that has a good bad pixel policy.

Sorry for being very picky, it is just that i have a 20" Dell at the moment, and if i am going to spend £200 on a new monitor, i would like it to be a considerable improvement.

The Samsung SM2494HS looks OK, but i have heard bad things about their pixel policy, whereas Dell seem to be more than happy to replace a monitor with even 1 or 2 bad pixels.

Shouldn't people be recommending HDCP monitors? I've just ordered one which is HDCP, allowing bluray to be played, and i know that there are loads of monitors of all prices that don't have this. Since Jakstaar is going to use bluray, surely it's important that he has HDCP?
