Which netbook would i need?

OK Found somewhere doing the S10 for £249.49 free delivery next day, going to go for this I think, then upgrade the battery if needed! :D

How could they give the Lenova 9/10 in that review when it has such a major flaw as in the battery only lasts just over 2 hours.

I thought it is closer to 3 hours?

Im happy to buy a 6cell or 9cell if needed, saw a 9cell for £60 the other day, with 1 years warranty etc........

In the review it said 2 hours at most.

The youtube one?

Not sure if I trust that, other members have stated 3 hours + with screen brightness lowered!

Mines coming today :D

Ordered 2gb 5300 RAM last night for £20 delivered................

Just ordered an S10e for £249.49 delivered :)

Welcome to the club :)

the 3cell lasts about 3hrs (remember its small and sits flush with no buldges sticking out). havent got the official 6cell battery 'yet' but i guess that will last about 6hour 'ish. i have the 9cell! and that lasts 10hrs

as you may of guessed i need a lot of juice of the road and now i get a full day or even 2 days usage without worrying about being plugged in somewhere.

Lenovo S10e is indeed a sweet little network has almost no faults. All the hardware works great and even the pre-installed xp (with linux splashtop) is bloat-free and good to go straight out the box. Which leads me to my one and only gripe with this device, which is the fan is a little erratic... BUT! many users have reported this to Lenovo and they are working on a simple bios fix, so hopefully this will be resolved soon.

Theres some handy things which you can use the ExpressCard34 slot for. 3G internet, DVB TV/Radio, firewire, usb hub, ssd, sata2, esata. So i think this more then justifies losing 1 usb slot.

Let us know what you think of yours?

Enjoy :)

Well its here and charging at work, looks and feel fantastic! Real sturdy and nice stiff hinge :)

I have ordered the 2gb so that will be here Monday! May put windows 7 on over the weekend...

Whats the simplest way of installing an OS on these??

External DVD/CD drive.........

Can't wait to have a play later :D

Hi with general use i can get around 3 hours. I have ordered the 9 cell battery off the bay. It comes with 1 year warrenty so im sure it should last.

Before installing vista using an external dvd rom - i took an image of the hard drive which includes a recovery parition. Vista runs well but the hard drive always goes, typical of vista. PS the hard drives on these things are fast 60MB/sec Max is not bad, its a WD Blue at 5400, very impressive. May try windows 7 sometime.

Build quality is just great, far better than others that look like toys. Screen height can be fixed by hiding the XP start bar and using F11 on browsing.

One thing i love about lenovo, their software update is great via the web, gets all the latest drivers and support software and their base install is in no way bloated, no laptop I have used and found these 2 items to be true.

Keyboard is very very easy to type fast on.
