Which of your high-end hardware has lasted the longest?

I still have my very first PC case that I bought, a Supermicro SC750-A from the late 90's. Housed a number of different AMD and Intel CPU's in it's time for my rig. Now sat in the garage running an Epyc processor.
The Lian-Li v2000 I bought in the early 2000's is still my main case....seen many systems and various water-cooling setups.

Not sure if it counts, my Corsair 800D must be 13 years old.

I still think it's the best looking case and can only assume its going to be still standing when people emerge from the Vaults following nuclear war in the future and are scavenging around shells of buildings :D

I just took out SLI 970xs that I got just after release - they had a good innings with an 8350 despite all that 3.5gb/4gb vram fuss. 9 years maybe?

Not really high end hardware, but my Sennheiser headset I got in 2006 for online gaming is still going. Now it's being used daily for teams calls. I hope it keeps going but it's had so many yanks and pulls on it it's been quite durable and the earcups haven't come off!

Also had a set of Logitech X-140 speakers that ran from 2008 until last year when I got a newer set. Still keeping them as a backup as these days newer items don't seem to have the longevity!

i had an 8700k which ive only just replaced, it was running at 5.2ghz at 1.26Vcore so was defo a golden sample, dellided and direct die cooled that beast, sad to see it go but it was really struggling to keep up with my GPU, its been relegated to a secondary system so not truly retired.

Ga-ex58-ud3r used it from 2009 till 2020 from a 4 core i7 920 to a 6 core xeon 5670 overclocked to 4.2ghz don't think we will see another era like it, programs were becoming more multithreaded and overclocking still had meaningful gains, was also the last generation before the great intel stagnation event, eventually retired it only had 1.5gbps sata no m.2 and single thread performance was starting to really show.

My PowerColor R9 290 PSC+ has been going strong since it was installed in December 2014.

There's no driver support anymore so an upgrade is long overdue!

I bought a 1TB SSD about 10 years ago. Cost a bomb at the time, but it's still going strong.
I remember hovering my finger over the button on a lightning deal for a 500gb Samsung Evo 850 about 7 or 8 years ago for about £87... it's still going strong in my wife's PC.

My 3570k from 2012 is still blasting in a mates PC. That baby OCed to 4.4ghz with a Hyper 212 Evo.

Akasa Eclipse 62 case probably, followed by Acoustic Energy Aego M 2.1 speakers

Crikey, i'm still using some origeonal creative T1? speakers on my monitor...they keep on trukkin' god knows how old they are.

Oh and, it has to be done,....

An origeonal logitek MX-518 still in daily operation.. how many cool points do I get for that?

I took my MX-510 to work, for the few times I'm actually in the office these days! Love the iridescent blue finish.

Never mind the floppy drive you bought in 1990! What of your then-high-end stuff has lasted the longest?

My Maxwell Titan X graphics card, bought in early 2015 is still doing sterling service in my brother's PC. My Acer Nitro 120 Hz 4k monitor from 2019 is in daily use. My colour laser printer from 2014 still chugs away (high end for home use). My Thrustmaster Cougar HOTAS is over 20 years old. I still have my Silverstone FT02 case, though I'm not currently using it.

My Qtec PSU!

I think I'm still using my Samsung 840 Pro which is over 10 years old now.

Next up would be my 1070 and Threadripper 1950X (I think I got both of those in 2017).

I'll probably not upgrade my PC for a couple more years yet as it still does everything I ask of it. At that point I'll probably go for another Threadripper system or something else in the HEDT space as I think they're good value due to the longevity you get from them even though the initial outlay is high.

Good cases stand the test of time. I had an Antec P180 as a PC case that then became a server for about a decade and finally housed a few GFX card for mining. It must be 15 years old but is now just gathering dust admittedly.
