Which program do you use for defrag?

That's called "go to sleep" :p

IK have mine starting automatically when I'm in me bed.
Using O&O.

Defrag by Name = Fabulous for large storage drives and/or games drives.
Even listing folder contents in explorer is instant on data drives due to by name sorting.

Diskkeeper pro and perfect disk both leave behind processes that run all the time and therefore i don't like having them on my machine, do any of the other decent defrag utilities just do their job and then disappear from the process list when you are not running them?

I don't know about Diskeeper, but with PerfectDisk, just set the service to 'manual' and that problem goes away :)

As I said, I've made a custom MSI so I don't have to reconfigure anything.

Diskeeper for me. I once dared to use XP's own defrag only for it to corrupt my hard disk!

Diskeeper flys through the defrag aswell!

I gave a try to Perfect Disk but I persist to use Diskeeper.
Version 2007 differs than my previous one (I had v8.0).
BTW do you enable the auto defrag?
