Yeah, luck of the draw is whether people on places like ebay tell the truth or have reset the timer, i bought one off there recently for about 250 and it seems okay, lamp timer says 40 hours, i can see some green tinting in the bottom right corner and 2 green tint dots about 3" big, but when viewing light scenes this doesnt bother me, you should always budget a new bulb when buying projectors as there are too many factors that can reduce your pleasure like these green tints you get when the bulb starts to ware.
anyway here's some pics (taken in the daylight, one with the curtains open and one closed and at night). the picture looks a lot brighter/deeper blacks when its night time obvisouly. As my projector is only 950 lumens on whisper mode you can see why lumens vs light is important.
First 3 are 720p viewed at 1024x768 on my pc
Last 1 is DVD
Curtains Open
Curtains Closed - Still letting a fair bit of light in.
Night Viewing
Sorry for the quality i only have my phone camera to take pics atm so they'll have to do.
Im going to purchase a projector screen in the next few month to get the picutre looking even better, its currenly only projected onto a matt painted wall (a light cream/brown colour)
Even having it just projected onto a wall still looks good for normal viewing.
Thanks for Reading
