Which Proxy Server?

Nice, well I think it's possibly a bit overkill for my needs as I'm working with a juniper ssg so the filtering and most things aren't required but my client wants to keep tabs on what people are looking at, gotta love SARG for reporting :D

I will keep hold of that vm though, could come in very handy in the future!

Yes, in that case. Every request is logged, time, date, username, URL, source and destinatip IP, rule used and a fair bit more.

Can log to MSDE, full SQL or text files. You can only search the SQL/MSDE logs historically through the GUI though

Should be plenty for a nice appliance then :) I like appliances as they are just so convenient. Our Bloxx test box went back today, not sure what we'll be getting next to try.

One of our Bluecoat appliances also died today :(
 
Does anyone know of a mirror for the squidproxy VMware appliance?

Their site is godawful, and 40KB/s that keeps dropping out is pathetic. Doesn't exactly fill me with confidence for their product.
 
If you could host a rar'd or zipped version of "squid3-s006.vmdk" that'd be ace.

Typically, after waiting since the last ice-age for the appliance to download, that one file was corrupt.

Am I missing something here?

I'm in VMWare Infrastructure Manager, and I'm trying to import a Virtual Appliance, but I can't import SquidProxy, as it neither appears on the Virtual Marketplace, or is in the format of *.ovf

So... wtf?
