And these. Especially 2033 redux.

You go to the alien home world, zen, after black mesa. The guys redoing HL didn't get round to including the zen part.

I've only played the Battlefield ones on that list so can't say what the others a like; but BC2 is a definitely the only Battlefield worth playing for campaign.

Still is if you goto their website and download the mod. Via steam it costs.

Definitely, struggled to get into a lot of recent games (Bioshock 2 - snoozefest, Dishonoured/Borderlands 2) but Wolfenstein got it right, pacing was good, humorous, good performance.

Borderlands 2 - good story, unparalled gameplay complexity(for a shooter), different experience with each class, the best DLC in existance(Tina's).

Both new Wolfenstein worth a bash.

Dishonored? Would that qualify?

Borderlands 2 is still OK single player, but it shines as a co-op experience with a bunch of friends. Huge amount of content, can be a bit of a grind sometimes (if you want to max-out your characters, that means multiple replays).

Max Payne 3, it's 3rd person but good shooter.

Serious Sam 3: BFE can be fun. Starts slow, but gets into its stride later on. No story to speak of. Just blasting stuff up.

Far Cry 3? Never really played it (no time).

Half Life 2 is still very good.
