Which steakhouse?

Café Rouge isn't French, it is owned by Tragus Holdings (British), which is owned by the Blackstone Group (American).
Hahaha, let's not let facts get in the way of a few prejudices, though, eh?

His post reminds me of Americans who boycotted Yoplait products in the US because they didn't want to be financing the evil Frenchies... not realising that General Mills own the licence to sell Yoplait products, and General Mills were suffering not Yoplait.

Exactly, go to a local home run pub and get a steak there, it will be much better :)

and better for the local economy support you local non-chain pubs you'll regret it when they have all gone to be replaced by the soleless ember inns and weatherspoons!

Back on topic food in the chain pubs really does depend on the staff I know of a weatherspoons where the food (steak in particular) is top draw (for pub grub) as they only employ people who know what they are doing in the kitchen and seem to only server decent bits of meat unlike most!

Not really, I'd go to the place that sold the best steak regardless of if its a chain or not

However round here that happens to a local resturant called Shorties which does lovely steaks.
