Gonna hafta get a set of rubber for the Kwak. It'll be social and pleasure only, no commuting. Wet weather will be very infrequent, if ever. Not looking to set lap times, just want something that'll stop when I tell it to, grip when I need it to, look decent, and not cost £lol.

Any suggestions?

Ta :)

Roadtecs, Road 6, something something. I've tried most sports touring tyres over the last decade plus, and finally decided i'm sticking with Road 6 until the cows come home. And I haven't heard from them in months.

But saying that i'm riding a fatty GT that eats tyres, and half the benefit of the 6 (as compared to the 5, and the others I've tried on either this or the K1300) is the life of the rear. The other half is that it wears delightfully and is very much confidence inspiring. I've occasionally tried stuff like the Metzeler M9RR or whatnot, for the fun, but now I can ride properly I don't need hilarious turn-in. I just turn in.

I don't think there's a bad tyre in the main brands, just personal preferences/subjective opinions. Like mine :D.

If you can still get them I had no issues with the Angel STs on my SV and Bird. Very cheap for a decent tyre or they were a couple of years ago.

Hmmm.

Not sure my riding will justify this much over the others tbh.

How much am I gonna hafta push to notice the benefits of the Michelin's over the others?

Also, how much difference is there between the Road 5 and Road 6?

Christ, hornetstinger will have a bike before I get this lot sorted.

My S1000R came with Dunlop Sportsmart MK3s on it, and I have to say, they've handled all the ragging I have thrown at them, and didn't break the bank when I needed a new rear

Got Road 6s on the zx9 - can't fault em mate.
Before that I had Pilot Power 2cts - the deffo needed warming up before "getting on" it, but for general use they were pretty good - look good and are cheap

Yep, and all going well it'll be MOT ready by Sunday
After all this you're going to have to arrange a Diddums Speaks event where you bring a projector and slides and tell the whole story. In a car park :D.

And I mean an old projector. A really old one. Steam powered.

Would you like me to wear a sexy teacher's outfit too?
