Now with my room near completion and my AV gear nearly in place I'm in need of a universal remote.:D

Now I think I would like a one handed design rather than the two handed approach of the Harmony 1000.

Has to control all the stuff in the pic.Including my HTPC runnig vista MCE and projector.

I'm not sure wether any of the logitech range work with a PS3 either....?

What are you lot using?

I'm tempted by a harmony 555 but I'm not sure wether It will be to limiting.

I've got the 555 and it controls the same amount of kit as you.

I'm very happy with it, even Mrs Wolvers can use it! There's no way I'd have something as big, or expensive, as the 1000.

Why are you worried about it being limited? It would work with a PS3 if you get an IR thing for the PS3.

Ive got a Harmony 885, had it a good few years now and wouldnt be without it, the only thing I dont use it for is my PS3 as i havnt got round to buying a IR controller for the PS3 yet.

I have a harmony 555 and it controls all my equipment fine, including my cheapo ebay electric screen and my 4 to 1 component switchbox. So in essence buy the best single handed harmony you can afford :)

eek just checked them all and the One doesn't have R/G/B/Y buttons for Sky/Freeview etc. Yu have to have them as a screen button option. I would find that a pain. Get the 785 instead.

You can map the coloured buttons onto other keys which are unused.

Will the 555 be enough for a geek like me?

They're all pretty much identical as far as controlling devices goes.

I personally think it's stupid to pay ~£100 (or even £69 as you posted) for a One, when a £35 525 will work exactly the same, unless the looks are really worth that much to you. It's not like the lower end Harmonys look bad though.
