Which US hire car?

Unless you've rented it from Rent-A-Wreck its probably unlikely to be a 2013 - that would make it a 2ish year old car. I know they try to make the most of the Corvettes, but...

Who have you rented from?

Hertz LAX.
It's most likely to be a C6 model.

@scousegit
I got mine for £600 for 11 days when I booked in July.
Now it would cost £1000 for the exact same dates.

Hire a base colour Crown Victoria, stick 2 fake mag mount antennae on the trunk lid and watch traffic part before like Red Sea in front of Moses as everyone will think you're FBI/AFT/HS...

Fortunately junk like Crown Vic, Mercury Grand Marquis, Lincoln Town Car and Cadillac DTS are long gone from rental fleets.

I think Hertz offer the Corvette for a little over £500 a week, dates depending.

The cheapest I can find for 2 weeks is £1380 I think, that's from their LAX place.

I'm thinking of hiring a vette for upto 4 days when I'm in vegas in October as it seems to be cheaper to hire from vegas for upto 5 days than the likes of lax or san francisco

Camaro SS is another good option - it's the one i've gone for. It was less than £500 for 8 days...

Indeed this is a great choice imo, i had one out of Logan and it was fantastic fun and definitely something i would consider renting again. :) 6.2 V8 430hp again in this but with more space.

To me it just feels like a generic full-size with less doors, an epic engine and better styling. They are massively over priced to rent given the retail price on them. My Cadillac last year was the same price new and 200 quid a week.

The Corvette however is genuinely special.

Oh, I am talking exclusively about the convertible, you wont get a 430hp convertible in full size or luxury classes. I just realised that he didnt actually mention that.

They are fantastic fun. Its a very credible car to rent if you want a very fast convertible which is much better than a mustang, but also want a bit of space as well as a bit of cruising ability :)

Yeah i realised that he didn't mention convertible. I have a real convertible fetish so am always happy to pay extra to rent a good one. :)

The coupe i would totally agree, what is the point? There are plenty of fast hard tops available without renting a specific model for a markup

I want a vette convertible if I do the vegas 4 day hire, not really interested otherwise.

Oh no not at all, they are amazing. Its just a slight shame that you will miss the update by a few months thats all :)
