Nope. It still tells you the time.
It's one of these features watch enthusiasts want but 99/100 of normal people will not be able to tell or even care when they see the watch on your wrist.

If your watch looks good, people will compliment you. They will not compliment you just for having a non quartz.

The Russell if you want a dress watch, but if I were buying a CW dress watch I would get a Malvern - for just a few quid more (if any) you have a decent automatic watch.
