Which were your favourite magazines back in the day?

It’s funny you say this as that’s exactly what drew me towards Total as well :)
 
My very first ever games magazine was Commodore Format issue 6 in about 1990, when I'd have been 8. Read it cover to cover and played the games and demos on the cover cassette a lot!

Never subscribed, but did buy a dozen or so issues of Commodore Format's short ish run. I did subscribe to GB Action when I got a Gameboy (probably age 10) though.

Then I subscribed to Total!, a Nintendo mag that covered both GB and the SNES I got for Xmas '93 or '94 (late in the day for SNES). Then subscribed to Official Playstation Magazine in about '96 or '97 when I got one of those.

That was it for games mags, for me. Aside from odd CV&G issues and maybe a Gamesmaster issue or two
