Which windows are you using? 10 Vs 11

Win 11 but all updates paused , then every couple of months i have to literally go a research what is not broken before i allow it update such is the state of MS these days.
With the nature of today's Security issues, i wouldnt be delaying for months, maybe a week or two at most.

I moved to 11 quite early. Mainly so I was used to it when it came to upgrading 100s of machines at work this summer. It’s been absolutely fine, no issues.

I'm using Windows 11 and didn't have any upgrade issues. However, it's very bloated and less an OS rather a mechanism to sell your data to every 3rd party possible. I'm getting increasingly tempted to use a Linux distro for my gaming. I would jump to Steam OS in an instant if Valve make a desktop version.

I ended up formatting my PC and installed 11, I used Windows Utility program to create a de bloated windows 11 iso. Everything seems to be running ok, I need to get used to changes, no issue with the few games that i have tried.

Rufus is a good shout too.

Windows 11 since release.

No point staying on an unsupported OS "just because" then you become a target for cyber attacks and you only have yourself to blame.

Plenty of cyber criminals waiting for that opportunity.

Currently Windows 10, but I've been trialling Bazzite as a daily for the past couple of months and will most likely switch to that permanently* once Windows 10 is taken out back and shot.

It works perfectly for 99% of stuff; there are a few programs which don't have a working Linux version, but I'm hoping that the rise of SteamOS coupled with the mess that is Windows 11 compatibility is going to result in Linux gaming become more mainstream and developers actually making Linux versions of their software. Software compatibility is certainly going to figure into my purchasing decisions for any future hardware!

I have Windows 11 on my work laptop and it does my head in, some really bizarre design decisions around hiding settings away and generally making it as difficult as possible to do anything that's not dumbed down for your average TikTok drone.

I'm sure it's fine for the majority of people who just want to check Facebook/eBay/write a few Word docs. & Excel spreadsheets, but for me at least it feels less like an OS and more an app store masquerading as one.

Edit: today is a perfect example of why 11 is an utter pile of excrement, a putrescent shower of filth, expelled from the bowels of Satan himself. Just logged on to my work laptop to find it's decided to reboot overnight, losing a load of work and things I had open (not the first time). So that's about an hour wasted this morning. GG.

* I'll keep a dual boot of Windows for the odd piece do software which just refuses to work

I've found 10 worse for that than 11 to be fair - but both can do it sometimes - usually because MS has decided an update is "mandatory" and will even circumvent their own rules to push it through :s

10 as my PC won't upgrade to 11 due to specs - the 6700k i believe is the block. There might be a way to get round it, but I haven't bothered looking into it.

Been using W11 more or less since release with VBS etc enabled, no issues with performance at all and all my games run perfectly. Clean install for 24H2 as there were some major under the hood changes and no issues.
