Which windows are you using? 10 Vs 11

Windows 11 as 10 has issues with the new Intel Performance Cores. Otherwise I wouldn't have upgraded. It's been okay so far though.

I haven't really considered shell replacements until now... my main gripe with 11 (as a lot of my other gripes to do with sound routing etc. seem to have been addressed) is the start menu.... I LIKE! the way I have it set up in 10 and vanilla 11 just seems like a backward step.

I've just stumbled across Start11 (stardock)* which it seems at a bare minimum would be able to revert to a w10 style start menu, but also potentially could allow me to set things up in a way I like even more.
I'm still gonnna try some sort of linux on my 'server' (/bedside media) PC, as I'd rather not have to buy multiple licenses... but part of me feels like (for my main PC) I'm just kicking the can down the road as Windows seems to get more annoying with every 'feature' update.

The only thing truly stopping me from trying Linux full time is the fear that I'll run into problems with specific software or, more importantly, an anticheat platform getting game accounts blocked/banned

Main reasons for people using Windows is gaming. There is no getting around it with most devs using Directx.

Microsoft knows they have everyone cornered and no developer is going to go anti Microsoft and start moving to OpenGL due to time and resources. Same with anti cheat.
