Who agrees with me on this!!

Bioshock was and is a fantastic game, I've never seen so many people complaining about it after the huge hype on these very forums about the game.
On a 24"+ screen it looks stunning and runs smoothly even without the best of the best.

GoW while looking very nice, does bore the crap out of me; jump behind a wall, shoot, move on, collect ammo, revive the odd team mate, rinse and redo.

While crysis visually is very nice (and hard on your system), I find the guns to a bit lame and the story isn't really new.
 
haha the original cod had great mp but cod 2 and cod 4s mp is *** suck, ut is best then tf2
 
i was v impressed with the Bioshock gfx, lighting and environments. to be honest, why would you want to stare at the textures on the walls for more than a moment anyway? gameplay was great too. although it did get a little tedious killing splicers all the time...

CoD4 gfx in the demo were a little underwhelming. it looks nice but is a little too shiny.

Crysis looks stunning. best fps gfx i have ever seen on the pc and probably will do for some time...and in the future it will only look better!

STALKER had nice gfx i thought. well, the inside environments anyway ;)
 
Tbh I don't understand why CoD4 is that hyped, Imo CSS & BF2 are still better, both less chaotic in mp, and SP is rubbish atm, perhaps it's because of my dated GFX, but bad none the less compared to games like Gears and Bioshock wich run a lot better, look better, and play better.
UT3 demo somehow ran bad for me wich is odd considering it's the same engine as GoW & BS, maybe though because it's a faster game and needs more frames to feel smooth.
Will rejudge the games once I get a new gfx card in, but untill then I won't understand why CoD 4 is hyped at all, Crysis also doesn't look that good imo either, prefer the Far Cry gfx tbh.

i didn't follow it much and i loved it, i've stopped following big games like crysis i stopped reading up on it at like the start of this year then the demo and beta came out and i was very pleased :D

following the hype juse gets people's hopes up too much tbh
 
Why all the agro?

Bioshock, COD4, UT3, GOW, Crysis.... all legendary games, and they all look great :)

This has been an incredible autumn for the PC games people. What's with the nit-picking and useless comparisons? Go play em all!
 
oh pish pash :)

Crysis is far superior to bioshock in terms of graphics. they are completely different styles but the general finished article quality of both just leaves you with no real option.

For the record i found bioshock DULL too :) i might actually go back to it and try to bring myself to give it a bit more time though. It was just a bit samey for me
 
If you want a really good game go old school and get BF2 nothing beats owning real people rather than bots!
 
bioshock was pretty good graphically, nothing extrodinary but the enviroments were unlike anything i have seen personally, don't disrespect doom 3 either, doom 3 is brilliant at what it is, its not pretending to be anything other than a good old fashioned guns blazing shoot 'em up, and its well designed and keeps you on your toes all the time, to be honest i find doom 3 a better FPS than bioshock and the HL series, haven't played crysis yet but if its anything like far cry, it'll be GOTY without a doubt. and i agree with someone who posted earlier, GoW is hilariously simple, but the visuals do save it to an extent, remember all the hype me mate made about it on his x-box, played it and thought 'your having a giraffe', roll on friday :)

bioshock does have good graphics but they arent great(well not everywhere)...going close up to buildings the textures look a year old.....which is weird as other parts of the game(character models) do look great.
crysis graphics overall are probably the best ive seen in any game apart from that particular sniper level in cod4 beats it....that made me think wow.... had to keep calling the missus over and telling her to take a look lol.


have to say cod 4 gameplay is absolutely great...playing it on hard atm...glad i didnt choose veteran straight away as its pretty tough at parts.

what? rubbish. that looks completely pap. the textures are rubbish, the models look like they have a teeny poly-count and the shadows look like they're been lifted straight out of BF2, which is ancient.
Also, Static Lighting? wtf people. Crysis and Bioshock have dynamic lights. this doesn't. eurgh.

crysis beats that on every possible count.
i cba to argue any more, i'm going to go to sleep and play Crysis all day tomorrow (my boxed copy arrived this morning!)
