Who are your 3 favourite actors/actresses?

Rather hard to pick 3, even if you do 3 actors and actresses.

Sidney Poitier
Denzel Washington
Matt Damon

Judi Dench
Emily Watson
Cate Blanchett

To be fair there are at least another dozen I could add to each list.
 
Difficult to pick a top 3, but Tom Hanks is certainly my all time number 1 actor.

Anthony Hopkins
Sigourney Weaver
 
Really difficult to choose only 3...

I'd have to go with Keanu Reeves, Patrick Stewart and Tom Cruise.

But could easily put Denzel, DiCaprio, Arnie or even Christopher Judge in there (Teal'c is one my favorite fictional characters) along with at least ten others... even some from Bollywood, ie Shammi Kapoor.

Edit, just to reiterate this is "favorite" not best, so while I think there are many better actors, I enjoy watching these three a lot.

Harrison Ford (10 films)
Robert Downey Jr. (4)
I've got loads of sets of discs (3) with the same actor, so I'll pick an actress = Gwyneth. I thought the performance of her life was in Sliding Doors. She even convinced me that she was from west London with that accent in that film.
 
I don't watch enough films to have a strong predilection, but my three male leads would be:

1. Matt Damon (i.e. Bourne Identity)
2. Jean Reno (i.e. Leon, Ronin)
3. Nicholas Cage (i.e. The Rock)

Actresses, more difficult. Kate Winslet in there somewhere.
 
Incredibly tough question.

I would go with:

Denzel Washington
Edward Norton
Christopher Walken

But I'd be equally happy with:

Matt Damon
Tom Hanks
Robert DeNiro

or

Leonardo Di Caprio
Christian Bale
Brad Pitt

Way too tough to select just three.
