Who can guess what I'm making

Cheers guys. They taste really good! :D

The sponge is delicious and soft, and the jelly almost melts in your mouth.

I'll have to knock a couple of points off though for the taste of the cheap chocolate I used because I should have used better quality like Bourneville, and it should be egg shell thin over the jelly and mine has set quite thick as you can see probably in the last photo. So each cake is a bit weightier in the hand compared to shop bought ones, but overall I'm really pleased with them.:)

Great job, Merlin, how do they taste? Is the base authentic?

I believe the base is probably authentic as it's just caster sugar, egg and flour, and having watched a McVities 'how do they make Jaffa Cakes' video of their factory process, those are the only ingredients they mentioned.
