I'm looking for a decent bed. I've had rubbish mid range £500 divans all my days.

Looking to spend anything between £2k-£3k on one. I'd like a leather bed frame to be included in that.

So who's got a cracking bed and how much was it, where from etc?

Pics would be great! To get a feel of how big and thick it is etc and what it looks like in a real home and not stripped bare in a show room. You never can tell.

Definitely fancying a superking... my girlfriend takes up a lot of room!!

Yep misread the thread title as "three in a bed" too and a quick glance at the OP all I seen was...

Would love something like this if I had the money... http://www.time4sleep.co.uk/bedroom...rniture-ranges/kaydian/kaydian-bowburn-tv-bed

£1900 and plenty left over to fit a TV etc... :)

the bed frame is not so important, but I have had a memory foam mattress for a few years and it is awesome. Would reccomend it to anyone. I used to always wake up with a sore back, but that only happens if I sleep elswhere now.

The frame doesn't really matter, just get an ace mattress. Pocket sprung with a memory foam later on the top and you are good to go!

Careful of too thick memory foam some people find it too hot...

Be very careful before getting a totally memory foam mattress as a lot of people hate them...

We bought a M&S leather bed frame, I was skeptical at first but after it arrived I am very very pleased with it. It cost around 1k without mattress. M&S do not sell it anymore but I will see if I can find out who manufactures it.

regarding the mattress I bought a Vi-Spring for our main room they cost around 1 to 3k depending on which model you go for.

For all the other bedrooms I have bough ErgoFlex memory foam mattresses, its still not quite as good as a tempur mattress but is so close its just not worth spending the extra on the tempur. The ergo flex is just under 600 pounds comported to 2k for the tempur.

Also you should keep some of your budget on the side for the duvet. I would recommend a good All Seasons Siberian (or hungarian) Goose Down Duvet. something with a fill power of 650+. The best ones can go all the way unto 850.

Of course the frame matters. A mattress on a weak badly supported base (like the slatted ones from Ikea) will feel different to one on a proper well constructed base or even just laying on the floor.

A perfectly good frame or mattress can be ruined by the other.
