Get the biggest bed you can afford.

Only if it fits, I had massive difficulties getting king size mattress in and up the stairs, thank god I didn't go super king sizes like I wanted.

I've just ordered a new bed after years of having a single bed I can no longer stand it. I am 1.87m and weight 95 kgs, I simply cannot fit into a single bed, there are punch marks on the wall where I have whacked it in my sleep. I don't think you need to spend this much on a bed to get a comfortable nights sleep.

I personally went for a wooden bed frame because I think they are easier to clean than the divan I currently have. You can hoover under them no problem whereas my divan just collects an obscene amount of dust under it. The bed I ordered was £600 but I got it in the sale for £329, a double bed with sprung slats. The mattress was £1300 but again I got this in the sale for £529. Still waiting for it to be delivered so I cannot comprehensively say just how much my sleep has improved. I am looking forward to kissing goodbye to my £80 mattress and cheap divan and waking up in the morning without a sore back.

I would like to echo what others have said on here and recommend paying as much as you can for a decent mattress. Although my mattress was reduced, it was originally £1000+ and I think this is the kind of price you need to pay to get a mattress which doesn't destroy your back. The bedframe itself, well I think you can get a decent bed frame in the £600 bracket.

That sale you speak of is a con. The mattresses were never that expensive.... just like DFS sofas were never double the price plus £400 like they claim.

I've been eyeing up mattresses for a month now and bed frames. They were a similar price to the sale price. Slightly cheaper by £50 or so... never half price though!

I hate these fake sales!

It was a real sale, I saw them 2 months ago for the original price plus I don't see the justification in improved quality between a £500 bed frame and a £1500.

Thats not always a good idea, our mattress is being delivered on the 4th.
It does not fit in a normal van so we had to get a huge lorry to deliver it, then it would not fit through any of the doors in the building so we are having to get a crane to lift the thing through the window (its a big window) on the 3rd floor. Also the fact that it is 200kg does not help.

I will post some photos up next week :)

Wait, you have a window bigger than any of your doors?

Wow! Just Wow!!

200KG is the same as a pool table slate!! I hope you don't fall out of bed and that thing falls on top of you!

I thought super king beds just use 2 single matresses anyway? At least that's what my parents one does. Cost around £4k for their bed, not leather back though.

Good god no. Why on earth would you buy one which had that. Terriable terriable purchase 4k for two mattresses and a massive gert gap between them.
I know the point of it is so that you can have different a different firmness on either side. As well after so long they were able to change matress if they wanted.
As far as I remember as well though the gap isn't really noticeable.
