Over five years ago Baz created a thread asking which Football team you supported, this is a new updated one. It will be interesting to see the differences from then and to now.]

It would also be also nice to hear from those who don't contribute much to The Football Stadium as to why they don't?

Hopefully we can make it a better place for those wanting to participate but won't.

I will collect all results and will record them as Baz once did.

I doubt people really change their football team that much, if so they're unlikely to follow it that religiously like die hard fans do.

All that will really change is the greater number of fans with clubs with new money and those that have had recent success, i.e. Chelsea, City and Spurs respectively.

Arsenal

Though I do have a long term favourite from each country, Barca, Monaco, Dortmund, Parma, Ajax and Benfica....not sure the list goes that way though. :p

It's not to see if fans change who they support, it's interesting reading who actually looks at The Football Stadium now to previous years :)

Again this just goes to prove my point, people support lots of teams but just don't post in SA that often, I remember 4-5 Wolves fans and it would be good to have some Wolves discussion but if you don't post it kinda makes that difficult.

Well I'm hoping this thread uncovers some reasons why people don't post, If it doesn't, who cares, was worth a shot :)

My theory was that a lot of the people that voted but didn't post were part-time fans.

It's a lot easier for somebody half interested in football to vote for who they 'support' than to join in a debate in 1 of the spoilers threads

Well although this thread is for primarily seeing who people support, it would be nice for feedback on why they don't contribute. But that's up to them, I can't make them say anything.

Chelsea FC

I don't post in this section as I've not long been in to football so don't really have the same level of knowledge as half of you and when I do have something to say someone has normally already said it.

For now i'm just taking it all in like giant sponge :D

Thanks for telling the truth mate. It isn't really down to knowledge though, more opinions, everyone has one, voice yours :)

I agree, personally I think we should have a thread for each club. If well moderated there shouldn't be much trolling to be had. At the moment most would have to sign up to a dedicated forum if one wanted to discuss goings on at Newcastle for instance

We'd have to appoint whole load of new UB's/Don's to patrol such club threads, would be an absolute nightmare!

Arsenal.

As someone whose team is pretty over-represented in terms of posters, I would genuinely love to see more opinions from people that don't support Arsenal/Man Utd/Liverpool/Tottenham. At the very least it would offer something different to doing to death what Rooney's been up to this week, or how rubbish Arsenal are/n't, and so forth. It annoys me when people like cheets moan about the frequency of this kind of talk on here, and yet never manage more than two lines on their own team each week.

Not that I can blame anyone mind. Part of me wants to post about the Bundesliga every week, and yet I can never be bothered to sit down and type it out. Reposting a tired cliche about a big news story is just a lot easier, I guess.

True. I'd love to speak about Leeds but who is going to interact with me? No one :D

Robbie, you haven't even said who you support before you started flaming cheets, puts things into perspective. Use the ignore button if he annoys you that much.

We used to have some right good chats about Leeds, fact of the matter is there were only really 2 prominent posters about Leeds, one left the forum and you stopped posting.

In fact iirc correctly you wanted to talk about Boro more than anyone ;)

At the time they were in the Prem so I got answers back. Talking about a Champ team with Prem supporters doesn't work anymore :(

Andy if you're compiling this list at least put the teams in the right divisions :p

I did consider putting Dundee FC (Scottish 1st Division).

Sorry, don't really know the Scottish Leagues very well. Only one mistake, I am human

You'll get fed up soon Andy. People would post but not state a team and as I knew who they supported, I would add them. Then when they did post who they'd supported I had to keeping checking to see if I added them already or not

And keep an eye out for dirty cheats who try to post twice when they realise Spurs have more supporters than Arsenal.

Yeah I had to go back over to check edited threads as people had edited and people posting who haven't even voted. Grrr.
