Maybe they like living on the edge!
The first time you have to call them out, when stuck on the motorway, whatever you paid is worth it.

Mine ran out last month and haven't got round to renewing it. Will sort it out before I head off to Luxembourg as I don't want to risk breaking down in the middle of Belgium or something.

I dont, but would if i went driving abroad or started doing a lot more mileage over here. Besides, I have a VW, and they never break down! ;)

I used to have AA, I used it twice in one week with my first car, but never after. I currently have breakdown cover through HSBC Plus.

Nice to have considering I run without a spare tyre and if I ever need to be at the mercy of breakdown it's there. I actually only pay a little more than my old AA for HSBC Plus with breakdown (and its other benefits) so it worked out well for me.

I don't, if it breaks down i'll just get a mate and a tow rope, go home, find the problem, fix it.
As is student motoring, don't wanna pay for garages or tow trucks or breakdown cover.

Have only broken down once, as I got to the petrol station, because I was running on fumes :D
Solid as a rock my car though, next thing to go will likely be the clutch is it's slipping a minute amount if i'm really gunning it.

I dont have breakdown cover, never have. I broke down earlier in the year though, just used someone elses RAC membership to get me home :p

I've never needed breakdown cover, and don't specifically have cover, although, I believe my bank account includes some kind of limited breakdown cover.
