Just played through the first mission after saving this game untill I had a couple of of hours to start the game and I'm not sure I actually like the game that much.

It seems too scripted. I like to switch off and play a linear game usually. I don't like the weighted axis, would be useful if I was doing 180° turns all the time but I'm not??

HOPEFULLY I will like it more the next time I play it, might just not be in the mood for it. Just wanted some other opinions on the game.

I have just finished and enjoyed resistance 2.

It's a good game and I really like it. The combat feels visceral - the only major shortcoming is that at the end of the day it's a linear corridor shooter and that's what let it down. If it felt a little larger in scope, it would be much more renowned.

I enjoyed both games.

I think Killzone 2 suffers because its so different. Whereas Resistance 2 is more of a typical console shooter, KZ2 is more of a pc shooter on a console. Each game is fantastic, yet so different and I think by trying something different, KZ2 is a lot more of a marmite affair. Still, stick with it cause it only gets better imo.

I thought the one thing Killzone 2 did really well was make you feel like you were apart of a big scale battle. I don't care much for exploring in games.

I preferred the weighted feel to the controls in KZ2, It's made me realise now when I go back to playing other games, how much realism is removed by making the First Person character feel like he's on rollerblades lol. So in answer to the question, No I love KZ2, Unfortunately with not owning a PS3, I've not been able to get very far. :(

I like Killzone 2, think it's a good game but I did have to faf with the controls for a while to get them into a useable setting. Luckily there is one called alternate 2 which is a direct copy of the COD4 controls which means I got going straight away.

I am about 50% through on veteran at the moment, picked it up for a bargain at £19.99 a week or so back.

I could not get into Killzone2 single-player campaign at the start dint really like it.
Then I play mp solid for about a week then jumped back into and really enjoyed it. Think its just takes time to get used to it

Took a little while to get into the SP. Just finished it last night. Still not sure how I feel about the weighting. I suppose it feels good, but I could not play with the sensitivity high and there are many moments in the game that really need you to be able to turn quickly - hence some frustration at times. Especially the final fight!

The MP I am still not sure on. I prefer a slightly slower more deliberate MP experience, and the games I have had so far are just chaotic, nade spamming, spawn camping fests...

I thought the weighted controls were good in single player, because it's quite slow paced, and adds to the immersion. Luckily though, the weight is toned down for multiplayer.

Takes a while to get used to, but it's a fantastic game after you do, IMO.

Try the large maps its only really the small ones I find that are like this and are used mostly for racking up big points

i have KZ2 i prefer COd5 although technically i see KZ2 as the better game. better lobby, better firefights, better atmospherics, "heavy" feeling weapons..

what i dont like;

its not ww2

snipers who cloak?!

its not ww2...

I enjoyed KZ2 online, I never actually finished the single player campaign. I could never get away with the controls.

For me WW2 is overrated, its the same in tons of games. It becoming a boring time in history.

how can you say that, for gaming it is the most rich and luxorious time in recent history...

best fiends, best friendlies, best array of weapons...

i play(ed) CLose combat (Ww2 RTS), Company of Heroes (ww2 RTS) and COD5 (WW2 shooter) i think you can probably see a recurring theme here..

oh yea if Sinking the Tirpitz, or some other war film is on TV - can virtually guarantee ill be watching..

have you got any idea what the people of that generation went through.? absolutely unlike anything we have seen before or after.
