I remember posting on customize.org back in 2000 and got laughed off their forums when I said that I didn't own a telly. With faster broadband speeds and catch-up TV, am I right in thinking that lack of TV ownership isn't so unusual now?
Sure, I loved watching TOTPs and the chart show on our family TV during the 90s. Then I went to uni in 1998, had no telly on me and simply got used to not having one. Cue on 14 years, got my own house etc, and I still don't have one and I don't watch catch-up either. I do like films though - bought a DVD drive for my computer in 2004 and a blu-ray drive in 2009. DVD/blu-ray collection at around 120 films now. Plus, I've still got some VHS tapes from my childhood days which I watch on the computer using a VCR on a SCART-to-USB adapter. Should really think about recording those as video files before the tapes degrade further.
