Who here does / does not complete games ?

I only buy games I am going to complete if it does not appeal I will pass regardless of £££ so I complete most games I buy.

I used to until I got envolved in MMO's and online gaming. Now I switch on my PC and play either League, World of Tanks or Day-z. I've got single players like Skyrim to complete but I never load them up.

A friend of mine has always joked he would have to quit work for a year or two to complete all the games he has, he isn't wrong :(

and Crysis (I hear it gets silly with teh Aliens) .

It's not that bad...... the first half of the game is the best no doubt. Nothing to stop you finishing it though.

I always said I'd not be one of the own 123403423 steam games, only completed 2 gang...

However my unfinished list is growing. Gifted there are a few 'fun' games like Orcs Must Die than I'm not playing to finish... but I really need to finish The Witcher, Deus X, Portal and Skyrim before I make a start on any more games.

The game I play most is 'staring at my desktop deciding which game to play'.

Its a decent game I guess, not much happens really and it gets abit repetitive. I haven't found a way to complete it yet and its completely draining my time away from everything else!

I used to complete most games I bought, but now I don't find many that hold my interest.

Same here.

With so many games available at once, along with crazy sales. I find it hard to keep interest in one game till the end. Gone are the days you'd have one new game and play it religiously till the new game you wanted came out. Now we have 100s of Games on steam some we've not even yet played.

Makes it feel like a slog to get through some games. I think i'm okay with it though as I realise it would be a waste of time as they aren't holding my interest.

I have completed a few games in my PC gaming life though, it says a lot for the game if I manage to get to the end. To be fair a lot of my favourite games are sims and open world games where you can't really complete it or I have no wish to such as, Terraria, Trainz (been playing it for 10 years), Rail Simulator, Sim City games..

Portal 1+2
Half Life 1+2
Mafia 1+2
Just Cause 2 (only the story mode which counts I guess)
Peggle (lol)
Amnesia (with friends, never alone)
GTA (all of them so far except Gay Tony)
Limbo
Lone Survivor
Sonic Generations
VVVVVV

Only listed games on my Steam as i've forgotten life before it, except a few i've replayed recently..

Full Throttle
The Dig

How can you not finish Portal? Its short and was one of those games I had to play through in one or two sessions because it kept me on the edge of my seat. I actually played through the whole game the day after completing it with the commentary on :p

I prefer a short game that keeps you interested throughout than a long one that gets boring. I'd definitely choose quality over quantity and Portal was a great example of this.

Between work and progressing with my sexual conquests. I dont have much time for games. Shame as i have a steam library with over 350 titles, and i have maybe completed...3... - Last game i completed was BF3 single player campaign. Hoorah.

Used to never 100% games. Used to try and complete storylines for a lot of games though.

But then Lego games came along and so far me and the GF have 100%'ed Pirates, Batman 1 and 2, and both Harry Potters, lol :).

I normally get through a few Total War campaigns, other than that The Witcher 2 is the only game I've completed in the last few years I'd say.

Like most, my time is normally spent on multiplayer...so SP rarely gets a look in anymore.

Got loads of Pc games i need to finish 57 on Steam :P
Think the only three ive completed are the 2 Batman game and Plants vs Zombies love that game lol.

An ive got over 1000+ games on Mame an theres no chance of completing any of them, well unless i cheat an that aint going happen lol.

I always finish my games. I just play one game at a time until it's done. I very rarely play games I get bored with. I can't just leave a game unfinished unless it's really ****.:)

I rarely complete the games I buy now, unless they are good enough to keep my interest right from the start. Last game I bought and completed was Alan Wake. Since then, I've tried to complete some old classics which are rated highly by many people, such as: STALKER, Mass Effect 1, Bioshock (tried many times before but I just lose interest), Far Cry 2 (spawning AI just frustrates me).

The last good games that I enjoyed and completed in the past year before alan wake were:

RAGE
Deus Ex: HR
BF3
Portal 1
Duke Nukem Forever

Granted some of those are your typical FPS game, but I do enjoy putting a game on and just having fun and not having to think too much about anything. Portal and Deus:HR are the last two semi-thought provoking games I played. Deus Ex was because of the story and Portal was for the puzzles. I don't mind a challenge as long as it is rewarding. A lot of games make me feel like I need to do a zillion things before the game actually gets better, and I just don't have time and patience to play through something I am really not enjoying to supposedly get to the better part of the game!

Games I really enjoyed in the past were:

HL series
GTA series
Quake series
First two COD games (although I did enjoy the later ones)
Medal of honour series
Deus Ex series
Tomb Raider series
Thief series

There are probably more, but I can't remember them all.

Only just completed Mass Effect, 2yrs after buying it cheap in Steam Sales..

I have a very long, long, long, long backlog still to play, and it's unlikely I'll ever finish them.
