As title, I'm curious if we have any FAF veterans in here & do you often play ?

It's obviously the greatest game ever created, bar none :D;)

Anyone looking forward to Sanctuary ? AKA the spiritual successor.

Historically sunk plenty of hours in to SupCom and FA with some light dabbing in FAF; but not played much recently at all.

Can tell Sanctuary is heavily related to the SupCom design philosophy which may be nudge to get me playing again...

solo yes, multiplay no (dont have people to play with), im more interested in PVE than PVP generally speaking.
i need a new PC really to enjoy it.
i worry a little Sanctuary is a bit gimmicky, but tying to hold judgment

Had never heard of sanctuary prior to this thread, looks interesting!

Sunk plenty of time into the original SC; always remember upgrading to my trusty core 2 duo e8400 so I could finally get decent play out of it ha

cheers @Combat squirrel will check out the M28, i've seen it mention once or twice in last few months always positive.
i wonder how it might work when paired with a survival wave map

i always recomened FAF when RTS recomendations come up.

Kill_Phill if you enjoyed the original SC and never played FA i think you should check it out. same campaigne for each faction with minor changes to objectives. but still enjoyable, and with FAF you can pretty much Co-op the campaigne

Loved Supcom back in the day, played loads of Forged Alliance throughout my Uni days and have played FAF on and off in the years since. More recently I've been playing Beyond All Reason as a modern "successor" - which is based on TA rather than SupCom. Definitely worth a look if you haven't tried it, it's also free.

Sanctuary looks appealing as of last time I'd looked, but not seen any news in some time now. Hopefully it's still progressing.

Yeah I did revisit it briefly but the nostalgia wasn't quite there, especially with the older graphics! Will hold out for sanctuary

Keeping an eye on this! Miss the good old Supreme and C&C days. Rumours seem to suggest a new C&C is on the way?

I must be only only one who still thinks the graphics hold up well. The game used to melt your PC like TA did back in the day.

Yeah I think the graphics are good, just more the other poster didnt! lol, great game, truly one of the greatest games ever made & runs at my monitors 144hrz no problems.

Still can melt a modern PC if you're using M28 AI, on massive maps with 5000 units :D

Wasn’t that caused by the max in game memory issue of 2gb or somthing on modern machines.

FA & TA are two of my favourite games of all time.

I was initially so hyped for SupCom 2 when it was announced. The demo of the improved pathfinding that would allow you to move bigger groups of units around without them getting stuck was so impressive. Then they go and nerf the map size and unit count along with a bunch of stuff that made the original great. I never even bothered buying it in the end.
