Who is going to get a Pascal Titan X ?

Unless you are buying for workstation and need the extra power now... Then no! In fact even for work stuff the 2xRX480 would be a better bet. Just one rx480 beats the current Titan in resolve!

Basically unless you intend to make money out of it even then you're probably smoking something if you buy for games!

How does the 480 beat a titan at something?

since just getting a new job where'll I'll be full time I'll be earning much more than I am now so I'll more than likely get the Titan though I can't help but feel as though this isn't a titan card and instead a 1080 Ti in disguise :/

I think so too. This new Titan X was suppose to be 1080Ti but with Titan name on it they can charge even more . we will have another premuim Titan X as full fat pascal with HBM2

Tbh we don't really need HBM2 just yet as that'll only increase the prices further, with 384 bit GDDR5X at 10ghz that's 480 gb/s bandwidth if you consider overclocking another 500mhz so 11ghz effective that's 528gb/s bandwidth, plenty enough! though I agree that this should have been the Ti they're just waiting for AMD to bring out 1080 performance or faster and then they'll release a fully fledged gp102 and set the price stupidly high whilst having no competition whilst this cut down titan will receive quite a price cut to compete with AMD.

I repeatedly said months ago the Titan won't have hbm2 as it doesn't need it so why would nvidia spend more money putting it on?

I was laughed at :(

I'm with you, quite simply we don't need it GDDR5X will do till easily next year, heck even volta on GDDRX if they could chips that could do 12gb/s then we're looking at around 560 gb/s bandwidth which is plenty whilst keeping the cost lower as opposed to HBM2

Was waiting for Titan, but this one does not look particularly good - particularly clocks and cooler is pathetic for the money, think will wait till proper Titan is announced - the whole thing looks like a bizarre improvisation.

Not a chance in hell. Just got over the bitter taste of buying a 1080, and that was with a small part of my tax back money I didn't expect in any case, couldn't look at myself in the mirror if I went ahead and done something so stupid.

Full fat Pascal, a year or two down the line, 2nd hand. Yes, then I'll buy again.

Yep, a buy for me in the first week if the reviews are good. I won't even be in a hurry to leave behind 1080p either. I will just crank up the DSR and run at 144fps vsync. It is enough to make any gpu sweat.

What else can they do to improve the cooler though? They've gone the aluminium heat-sink route and the vapour chamber route, unless they go totally copper (And considering the looney toons herp a derp price i don't see why not) i can't see this being much different.

It will be a differet colour. That is it. The issues that the 1080 cooler has, the Titan cooler will have the same issues. Except it will be black!

Count me in:) I'm still waiting for the bloody OC Strix (ordered 2nd of June):/ As soon as they will ship me one I will be happy to return it and take Titan=] definitely not from Asus...

And I believe you but it was over 32c in my house today and my miniITX PC is in a AV cupboard and is also connected to my CPU... What's your point? Actually I don't believe you... Are you saying they all don't go over 36c on a day like today?

Oh this was whilst playing games for over 2 hours and not doing a small amount of stress testing on 3dmark, which is what you mainly do:)

No chance ;). Not on standard water anyway. I bet you ran straight from kitchen sink? :p

A LOT of heat to cool.

With regards it's doubtful I'll be going TX this gen. £12-1300 not worth it for 30% Over GTX 1080.

My 1080's currently doing just fine. Likely wait for Ti or next gen if they are £800+

Believe what you want

This is an old pic where I had been benching.

Fury Xs run very cool with decent custom water.

There are 3 x 480mm rads in the system.

I will be getting.

4 way no problem here ;-)

I won't be accepting any 4 way scores unless the software/hardware is available for anyone to use.

IE

LN2 is ok as anyone can do it if they have the knowhow and the hardware is available to buy.

Using software to enable 4 way SLI that is not available to everyone is not allowed.
