Who is your favourite scientist of all time?

And was also aware of and saw first hand the thousands of people (many of which were Jews) who suffered and died while manufacturing his V2 rockets in what were essentially forced labour camps, and was perfectly fine with it. The man shouldn't be anyone's favourite.

Maybe he was but you also need to watch Nazi Hunters Episode 1 Hunting The Nazi Rocket Scientists

I was simply pointing out why someone may think he is a great scientist. I was not making a judgement on his politics or his actions during the war, I do not know enough about the man other than why his was considered the best rocket scientist of the space age....

I will watch the documentary Dimple, I assume it available on utube or somewhere?

Isaac Newton, he without a doubt proved how much more easy it was to be recognised in the science world and be immortally glorified since so much was yet to be discovered 400 years ago.

I mean, I am sure that a lot of brilliant minds today or of the 20th century would have figured out mavity much sooner without needing an apple to fall on their head.

Ah man, how can I possibly choose? There are so many. :(

Brian greene?
Brian cox?
Richard Fenyman?
Michio Kaku?

but isn't this more about his scientific abilities other then his human nature?

as a Scientist he can be anyone's favourite!

Tesla would be my choice. Bit of an underdog story and a sad ending, but he brought electricity to our homes with ac, so perhaps one of the most profound changes to our way of life.
