Did he do a 4 year JD in the US or something?

For solicitors it tends to be 3 years LLB then 1 year LPC AFAIK - at least that is what my cousin did.

No idea on specifics - they were in the US for around a year (living in Florida) about that time but definitely not 4 years. (It is all UK unis listed but they've only named LLB specifically as courses taken).

EDIT: Dunno why it didn't occur to me earlier the time in the US was probably like a gap year thing.

Has he changed his name? The search function keeps telling me that there's no such member as ElliotJames, tried with one 'L' too and get the same result.
 
Oh god there was a purportedly female poster on here that drove everyone absolutely loopy. Who was that! That was like... a saga... ending in a total GD meltdown. Definitely 2005-2010. Anyone remember that? She / he / it got permabanned in the end, IIRC.

I remember the spelling and grammar, or lack of it rather more ;)

What I remember was that she continuously, and deliberately tried to do everything in txt spk for ages, anyone else remember when that was the craze for some users, it drove me nuts especially in the technical sections where it both made it harder to read, and far easier for completely the wrong idea because a typo in txt gibberish could make it mean something very different whilst a typo in normal spellings still leaves enough of the word to work out what it is.
