Who Needs WOW :)

Wow probably has more active subs than GW2 has sales so it's likely more popular. That said yes using twitch as benchmark is silly

Oh I know that. Without question WOW is the most popular MMO. It's now a dated game though with an 8 year old engine. GW2 looks 10 times better and I enjoy the mechanics much more. I tried WOW and hated everything about it.

TERA is meant to be the best fantasy RPG out, it's just unpopular due to the fact a large portion of the playerbase are wapanese weaboo anime obsessed gaijin', and the games style is overly asian with incredibly ****gy looking female armor/NPC's. The actual gameplay is supposed to be immense though.

Aren't they all meant to be the best when released?

I think the answer to that is if its going to entertain you then yes deffo do it. Regardless of what I or other people think at this time, you need to what's gonna keep you happy :)

Bought Pandaland. Questing seems quite slick but I'm such a slow leveller. Wish I could outsource levelling so I could just get on with the raiding which looks quite promising this time around.

I think most people found TBC to be the best era of WoW, from there it took a nose dive unfortunately! :)

It was in most aspects for me aswell but i think that was because how i was and partly with how the internet was different back then played it part it that.

For the last 2 expansions I have just PVP'd , no raiding at all. I have not found raiding enjoyable for a long time.

I didn't play since clearing ulduar starcaller a long time back and just got this yesterday. Putting my gw2 down for a while as I can tell you that pet battles are awesome! Loving the ability to catch stuff and there's so many all over the whole world. The new zones have cool music and are all colourful and covered in flowers and blossom, none of that dark cataclysm/wotlk rubbish. Client is unstable on my system sometimes but it'll get better.

Got to admit i loved wow played from the start . Was in a great raiding guild and made many friends . Since having twin boys ive not played , just dont have the time now . Still play with most of the people i met in wow on D3 or BFBC 2 and BL2 now so all is not lost . :)

I tired WOW then EVE. Sure EVE is expensive but you never get bored, and if your bored its your fault for thinking of it like a game :)

Id love to get into EVE but i heard the learning curve is massive and it ain't very noob friendly when it comes to being raped in space :(

The best point of wow was probably somewhere between TBC and Wrath... TBC had some problems, which were rectified in Wrath but the addition of somethings took away from TBC feel...

A happy medium between the two would be best.

Remember folks, cata is a very difficult expansion to critique as they weren't just creating 80 to 85 content but also 1 to 60 content which will have taken away a huge amount of resources for "end game' content.

The worst thing Blizzard ever done imo was redesigning 1-60 content. What I'm pointing at in particular is the redesign of many of the zones.
