Who ordered one?, (HD2900XT)

I was going to but am now going to wait to see how the reviews pan out, at the moment there's too much bad press from respected sites so lets see if ATI can pull it back with driver improvements or if the rumours of £170 640MB GTS are true.

Seemed worth it to me, card comes with games bundle worth around £20 so that's already £20 off the price, which means its around £40 more expensive than a GTS or just as expensive or least expensive than a few atm, decided ill give the card a go, it's right up the GTX backside in some games and beats the GTS at 1600x1200 in quite a few, bearing in mind these are pre alpha drivers I feel the card will mature a whole lot more, so does every reviewer.

Lol I really do want it to improve for you and anyone who buys it, otherwise you'll have wasted your money! But the only thing I can see improving is performance.

For me everything I've read (so far) shows the GTS being the better card. :confused:

Price/Performance/Power Consumption/IQ.

EDIT: Oh, and I'm not just jumping on the Nvidia bandwagon. I've had the card since it first came out roughly and it is amazing, I'm just trying to say you're missing out. :p

Aaargh I keep swaying between a GTS 640Mb and an X2900XT. I have a 22" WS Monitor and I will be gaming in 1680 x 1050 as a result, and would like nice eye candy.

GTS or 2900XT? Please God someone decide for me.

I've read most of the reviews online, inc. Anandtech etc, and despite all the failings of the 2900XT I still think ATi *must* have some aces up its sleeve with new driver releases. The ATi fanboy in side of me is literally crying at the possibility of ordering an 8800, esp. as I run x64 Vista.
 
*raises hand* i caved in

ill worry about potentially regretting it when i want to buy something else and dont have the money

Which case?, I think the card was really worth it, remember these are just pre alpha drivers not even final yet, should be some big improvements to come judging by the way there progressing atm.
