*****Who wants a $1000 INTEL CPU FREE? - COMPETITION TIME!!*****

nice one grey wolf.......have you opened the box though hehe....i would be so tempted........i think if id won it, i would have used the new 990x and put my i7 920 on the bay......as i suppose you will never really get what the processor is worth by selling it........

anyway i still havent received my ssd......can you confirm you got my email gibbo.......

cheers chris

If I won it, I think I would have had to have used it. Never again is it likely I'll have such an expensive CPU in my home PC and its justifiable by the fact it's free :D

Motherboard would have gone back for refund under Sandybridge fault, 2500K and ram would have been straight in MM - all of which would have easily covered an X58 motherboard and 12GB of ram (would be rude to use less with such a CPU :) ), I think :P

I'd have sold it in a heartbeat, need money :(

greywolf when you look at the processor which of the following two do you think first:
1. I have the fastest non-server processor available, cool!
2. Wow that's worth £800!

Whichever one you think first should decide what you do with it :p 1 = keep and use, 2 = sell

Hi m8

Still got your SSD here, can you re-send me your full address again please from your forums registered email address. :)

I never won any competition all my lifetime except I had won the shropshire star snooker competition 2 years ago when I won the pair of tickets to watch the semi-final matches (both semi-final) of the UK Championship 2009 with a special VIP tickets plus meet the players. I did enjoy that myself at the Telford International Centre. Did meet Stephen Hendry, Steve Davis, John Higgins, John Parrott and Ronnie O'Sullivan all of it with a photo with me. Guess I am more lucky with snooker than computer stuffs. I always fan of snooker since 1980. The best semi-final was between John Higgins and Ronnie O'Sullivan and Ronnie come back from 8-2 down to level 8-8 all square and force a decider frame before Higgins won it. Brilliant stuff.

Engineering Sample.

They technically remain property of Intel I think, although they don't seem to recall them.

The integrated heat sink usually features "INTEL CONFIDENTIAL" rather than the usual model/fab/batch codes etc
