As in the title - Who will be getting a Vega card and why?

I will be getting at least one to test out and am expecting something special.

I will be intrested to see what reviews say, but will purchase a vega card to try out. I would really like AMD to pull a great GFX card out of the bag. Fingers crossed they do.

Using a TXP I see no point but will see what's around in a year or so. I wish AMD well but am less enthusiastic so not expecting anything special other than a few technologies with good marketing appeal. I doubt they'll launch real top end products in both GPU and CPU segments and remember hearing someone say at AMD that they will be able to spend more on R&D as things improve on the profits front. So, unless they can beat the TXP by a decent amount I'm out, ie, 20-30%. The next TXP beater will likely be the TXV.

Will wait for your review and benchmarks then decide. :D

Think I will try and wait a bit as my current card is doing ok. If it’s a big upgrade and has a good cooler I will most likely just get one.

Nope. I am invested in NVidia with G-Sync and VR, so unless it offers something special at not much cost, I am out this time!

Probably not as my monitor is a G-SYNC one. I don't like being tied to one vendor but I'm not so sure I could happily game without it now.

I think this is becoming quite common where the choice on monitor dictates the choice of gpu, not so sure it's a good thing but is what it is I guess

Yer, a real shame that cross vendor isn't supported and does dictate what you can buy GPU wise! I do keep umming and arring over an Ultrawide moni though, so the door is still open for either brand but quite content just gaming nowadays and happy as Larry on my ROG Swift :)

I have a Fury Nitro and even though it has HBM memory I want 8 Gb of VRAM or even 16 gb and HBM2.
And I have a 1440p, 144hz Freesync monitor. VEGA will be a perfect fit for me.

Problem with you not getting a Vega card is it also means you won't be doing a video review of it.

Me, I've invested in freesync and just need the gpu to power it

I'll be getting one, as I want one :)

I will be because I like AMD as a company.

For all the above three reasons and also

a) because I want to have an ALL AMD system after more than a decade, minus the cooling.....

b) Vega is a fascinating star and my favourite one in the north hemisphere when viewing it from the telescope. Especially the summer nights in Greece when we had no power in the 80s and early 90s for hundred of kilometres around.
(back then we had ancient systems to transfer power which summer months was on fire literally leaving mainland outside Athens, without power for weeks).

Yes if the price and performance is right. I've had freesync for well over a year now and there is no way I'm moving to Nvidia and loosing out on that amazing tech. 390 crossfire great when it works at 1440p, but all to often have issues. Looking for a beast single card to match my 390 crossfire performance.
