Who wont be playing Warhead

I have a very similar spec, (only 3ghz dual core) to you and ran it with the custom config fine on high, I got rid of motion blur cos I didnt like it and it looked great at 1680x1050.

It wasn't till I played the game 3/4 months later that I started enjoying it, the custom config, AI and time of day stuff really makes a difference. Also I changed the weapons so I could pick up them all then made the suit power last a little longer.
 
So do we know if our current crysis CFG files will work with warhead?
Im guessing they will same engine and all.;)
 
yea i will be getting it, i first played crysis but hated it. So just left it on the side, after a few months i tryed again after a mate raved on about it and kept with it and loved it. in fact i am just playing through it now in prep for warhead ;)
 
:o I really should not admit to this as I am the one that started this thread, but I have to own up, I am playing Warhead. What is worse is that I am really enjoying it and don't have one negative thing to say about it. I was playing till 3 am this morning so apart from embarrassment I'm also exhausted and stuck at work.

I am enjoying Warhead more than Crysis because it feels much more like a game rather than a tech demo due to the level design. Even the combat has been improved and I am even enjoying the alien combat which I disliked in Crysis. I am also pleasantly surprised how well the game runs on my aging rig considering how good it looks. I am running everything at 1680x1050 on gamer apart from motion blur which is set to off. I do get some slow downs once in a while but it is still perfectly playable.

I got that off my chest so let the beating begin.
 
i really enjoyed crysis game play was decent not as good as cod4 but it was still ok. was not to fust on the zero grav level but meh, as for the aliens they did not bother me it added something a bit harder to kill.

im currently on the train level on warhead and really enjoying it .

defiantly money well spent

That could be said for just about every FPS.

I do admit that I am starting to go off shooters and I am even one of the minority that did not care much for COD4 or HL2 Ep 1&2.
 
Played Crysis and thought it was quite good although never finished it.
Graphics were amazing but also very demanding on my hardware.

Playing Warhead now and am really enjoying it.
Graphics appear to be almost on a par with Crysis, I'm running all at gamer except shadows set to mainstream @1900x1200

Seems to be lots more action and less wandering about.

I haven't finished it yet but I can see me playing through again when I do. :)

Psycho is one of the coolest characters ever, go get Warhead, burst your bubble and have fun :P
 
Not going to play it at the mo. Need a new PC and thats something that will take at least 6 months to procure :(
 
I wont be playing Warhead. I read through the High Res Screenshot thread so i've basically already completed it.
 
I am waiting till I can run Crysis at 30fps minimum on max settings in directx10 before I play Crysis and warhead. Currently, I am nowhere near.
 
I played Far Cry and though i thought the graphics were great and gameplay was decent I just never really got into it. Same thing with Crysis, i could see why people liked it and it was pretty impressive but it just didnt do anything for me. Cant see the point in trying Warhead as im pretty positive i wont enjoy that either.
Odd though because they are obviously quality shooters and i love a good FPS but this series just leaves me cold.
