Why all the hate for DPD?

DPD are amazing around here, only thing I don't like is their depot which is in the Mumbai of the UK... Dunstable

Missed one delivery and thought I would go pick it up, place is impossible to drive about in.

Will just get things redelivered in the future.

I find DPD to be one of the best couriers when delivering to my place near Swansea. They have not failed to meet their 1 hour estimate windows. I have a lot of problems with City Link and Yodel.

I find DPD brilliant. They text on the day of delivery to give me an hour slot - if I'm out then they endeavour to leave with a neighbour, and failing that, their depot has opening times that consider some people work full days in the week, so it's easy to pick a parcel up. Personally they're my favourite delivery company.

Very good here. The real positive is the 1 hour time slot thing. Never been wrong for me and I've had a lot of stuff delivered.

City Link on the other hand... Where I work uses them and the local depot (Chelmsford) is the most awful company in the world. They have so little staff and so many calls of complaints 99.9% of the time you get put through to a depot on the other side of the country.

HDNL or whatever it is that Amazon use now is a bit backwards. They left my sisters new £500 laptop outside at our back door. Anyone could have just come and grabbed it..

I don't mind Royal Mail, Fed Ex or UPS are brilliant and I've never had a problem with them. I've never had a bad word to say about UPS / Fed Ex, while the Royal Mail do occasionally mess things up they're good 99% of the time.

I don't think I have a good thing to say about some of the others, what was that one? City Link? Jeeeez they were terrible.

Never had an issue with them.

Online rating and review systems are biased in the fact that people generally don't go out of there way to provide positive feedback on a product or service.

DPD have been good to me, City Link on the other (carlisle depot) are a pack of lyers, instead of crossing town to my house decided to clock off early and record me as carded. There own parcel tracking proved they were lying as the time between getting carded and my parcel being checked back in to the depot was 9 minutes. That to drive 3 miles in rush hour on a Friday evening right through the centre of town.

I now live in a village and local postie is excellant, if I am not in she will deliver parcels to my mums and leave a card saying so.

Never had a problem with DPD here. Reading through their Facebook and Twitter I feel a bit sorry for them :(

When a DPD delivery fails people moan. You have had 50+ orders with them and have never had a problem. How many times have you praised them?

Unfortunately the rating system is bias in most cases, which is a shame.

That's the case with anything. Take ISP's for example, how many people post on their forums that they have great service compared to all those who complain?

When you go to Asda the people in the queue for Customer Services aren't there to give the staff a warm hug and express their gratitude for their "low low prices" more than often it's to complain.
