Out of those the only one I like aesthetically is the MK1 Escort. I dislike the way the Cossies look, but I appreciate them anyway because of their rarity and their place in automotive history. How can you call the cossie horrid? literally no one shares that opinion![]()
Which one is that? S-Max?I still think they look great personally. Some such as the ecosport are questionable, but there's still nice looking regular Fords:

Yeah tell me about it. Never even heard of a focus long-max.I think it's a Focus long-max.
Hard to tell these days.

I'd be more concerned on the reliability of their ecoboost petrol engines - maybe the cooling problem, split-pipe failure, was very isolated ?
but, that tarnished the brand.
Saying that have many manufacturers backed off 3 cylinders too ... with the oncoming tsunami of EV's ice engineering is stalling too
Aerodynamic+regulations maybe imposing the ugliness ... can't see if the the guiglia is less aerodynamic
.
How much of that convergence is down to the regulations the designers have to follow regarding the height/width/position of lights, and crumple zones for pedestrian impacts, window sizes etc. It's similar to why all F1 cars look the same. The regulations determine where you can and cannot place bodywork, so everything follows the same pattern. I'm certain if they had free reign then every manufacturers car would look entirely different - which is why concept cars look brilliant until they're forced to be sanitised for real world use.I think that car design in general has stalled. Not just Ford
Reminds me of a picture I saw on here about a year ago......
