Why are you staying in on the single best night for going out on the lash?

Just had the outlaws over for a meal. Plenty of wine and beer in my nice warm house. Why would I want to go out?

i hate pubs at night. it doesn't matter day it is. call me an old git but i'd much rather go out on a lunchtime - and that's exactly what i'll be be doing tomorrow. :)

My husband Cliff spent the best part of 3 hours in the garage building toys for the kids earlier on.

Hahaha. I was talking to my parents (and sister/sisters partner) yesterday about having kids and the best part being (if I have a son) scalextric etc. Now, when I thought of that I only thought of building that, which is awesome.

I totaly forgot there will be presents that my (prospective) children will want and require building ... gah!

a) I don't drink
b) I don't get the whole going out on the town on Christmas eve. Christmas is all about family and relaxing with them all at home. NYE is the night out!

Cos I've been out on the lash for the last 5 days to differing degrees and I have some drinking planned for tomorrow. And I also disagree with the statement that it's the best night of the year. The night out you enjoy the most in a single year could just as easily be in May as in December.

Also you will not pull on Christmas Eve...FACT

Been out, hammered. Town was suprisingly empty. Never a good idea when you have to cook the next day. Stuffing sarnie for me I think.

Christmas eve is like the night someone dies, you don't go out to the bar as a mark of respect. You wait until they've been buried or tea time on Christmas day.

I go out every weekend and itsgood. Im going out for new year, once for new years night, then the night after to a big event.

I'd rather be with family at xmas then go out all the time when back 'home'. However home will only be home for a couple more weeks then i will be moving out, either to proper home or somewhere in leeds with mates hopefully.

Also im saving a good £70 by not going out tonight

I'm actually out at the moment, I've just popped into work to make sure that no servers have fallen over. Town is great at the moment, lots of scantily clad women, not too many folk, and the beer isn't extortionate. Fantastic :D

Im over on the isle of man visiting relatives.

All my family have moved here years back, so nice to come over and spend xmas and some time in the summer here :D

I've never gone out on Christmas Eve. Even drinking a lot isn't something my family does at Christmas. So that's why I'm at home. Finishing off wrapping some presents and just relaxing and looking forward to the holiday. :)

In my galavanting days I found Xmas Eve a lot better than NYE - less 'attitude', people much more relaxed, people happy to have pints after work not worrying about rushing home to 'get ready', no paying to get in a ****ing pub....

Yep there's a whole new world of flat packed toys out there :p

1. I don't drink. It's a waste of money, it's bad for your health and it does you no good.

2. Even if I did drink I wouldn't want to spend my time amongst a load of drunken, savage idiots with crap music ringing into my ears for the entire duration.

Me neither. Which is why I generally go out with my friends to places we enjoy.
