Why buy a Rover?

Wish Id kept my 420GSi Turbo

Even if Id needed to replace the headgasket Id have saved loads of money if I kept that.
My GTE was a pile of rubbish and I sunk loads of money into it, now Im stuck
with a boring VTEC engine.
I could still have booooost. :(

Wedge shape + multispokes + lip spoiler =

I don't mind the grey bumpers with certain colours. Not overly keen on the exhausts but at least they're not 20" :D

D4VE, at least you've owned a turbo. I'm still waiting for my opportunity.

You timed that picture nicely jp ;)

Nice car. I see you have the lip spoiler, looks good :) Just needs lowering, colour coded mudflaps and clear indicators.

I did actually have it lowered, but the insurance was an extra £110 a year, and I noticed the outsides of my tyres wearing quite a bit more than the insides, and that on full lock the wheels rubbed... so up it came... Maybe next time I'll get shocks and springs too...

Next thing happening to my car is full poly bushes :)

Clear indicators are on the cards though... just not too sure which ones to get because the ones on ebay say they aren't for my (1998) car.

I thought the v6 engine in a ZT/75 was a Rover KV6.

It is, i'm getting the 150bhp Diesel! Didnt want to be Diesel bashed when I wee all over the 190bhp 2.5V6s when I get mine remapped! lol! ;)

I'm going for the Trophy Blue, unusual for me because I love my Black cars, but theres something about the Trophy Blue that makes me do a sex wee!

and yes, t series are very reliable engines.

In 1995 Rover made the most cars in the Uk with about 380k. They were the best in the class too, much better than the escorts. It's a bit unfair to base the opinions of them now on old cars really. The fact you see a lot of the mk2s (As developed with Honda and same build quality as the Concerto) on a the road is a testament to how popular they were at the time.

Who really cares anyway, I certainly wouldn't of a bought a new one but it's doesn't mean the old ones are bad cars.

This is why I've still got mine. Its great fun putting pompus badge snobs in their place. Both on track and the road
