I've tried, god knows I've tried, but I just end up quitting after 1-2 weeks of playing...
I've only ever played and stuck to two MMO's;
Ultima Online - 5+ years
Planetside - 5+ years
Maybe my problem is that I can't get my head around, or maybe refuse to get my head around the fact that these new MMO's require me to spend mass amounts of time ingame just to be able to compete in a PvP environment?
Maybe it's the fact that no other MMO has the same mechanics of that Ultima Online once had in its prime?
Or the fact that these new MMO's require you to group and be able to only do one role within that group?
What ever happened to 1v1's? 2v1's? Hell in UO you could have 8v2 and still come out on top, what about if I fancied solo'ing which is pretty much non existent nowadays or if I wanted to do some griefing? What happened to those days, what's happened to skill based games?
Think I need to let go of my past gaming and look to the future, but as far as I'm concered, UO was the best MMO ever released.
Had to get it out of my system!
