Why do cats get orgasmic

Another one for the cat psycologists, why do we often get up in a morning to sind that the cat has dropped soem of her toys ( toy mice etc ) into her food ( or water ) bowl

My Molly is really funny as she is such a trusting cat to us, and my especially.. she will sit at the end of my bed, and when shes sorta half asleep she will sorta turn her upper body upwards as if to say, rub my belly now please...and when shes ready she'll sit up and stretch and lie back down..

everything about cats behaviour goes back to those first few weeks when it was a new born with its mother, when you stroke a cat it reminds it of when its mother would groom it. when they do the clawing thing on a cushion they are attempting to nest on that spot, and if you want a cat to trust you, always look at it with your eyes only partially open. ;)

have you tried the double blink?, if you double blink at a cat it will do it back, it is a sign that you are not going to be a threat and will be leaving it alone, also the tail straight in the air is a ''flag'' to say 'follow me'
My cat has in the past nipped me in the arm pit after I have showered, that was a bit of a shock I can tell you!

Interesting.

Out of interest, what do cat owners put in the cats water bowl? IIRC, cats are sensitive to the chlorine (albeit a low amount) in our water? Also, cats are lactose intolerant (again, something I read which may not be the case) so can't give them milk.

i have done the blink thing :D although the tail was new to me... when my cat wants your attention she will simply walk up to you and literally swipe your leg.

Got some new suede-esque bean bag cushions for the cats a few days ago.
Went into the room to find one of them had a huge wet patch.
Assumed the worst and told the cats off for peeing on the new cushions.
Walked in yesterday and found one of the cats licking them. :p

my cat has tap water here but she wont drink it unless the water is moving, hence she shoves the bowl, then starts to drink then shoves abit more then drinks and rince and repeat.

my missus fills it up, I think she uses bottled water

in truth the cat will rarely drink from her bowl she tends to sit in the bath and make a load of noise until someone turns the tap on for her

ours won't drink milk anyway, we have even tried the lactose free cat milks
