I use Vista Business 64bit on my main system, and XP Pro SP3 on a secondary one....so have the best of both worlds.....

I was on Vista 64bit for a year or so, didn't like it so moved back to XP, but this time I'm using XP64bit

I'm still using XP through choice and envisage continuing to do so for some considerable time to come.

Work laptop (I'm a network admin) is Vista Business 32bit

Home rig in Vista Ultimate 64bit

Wifes laptop is XP Pro SP3 - She is happy enough with that ...

Wouldn't use XP day to day now by choice I'd always use Vista

I use XP SP3 on my main PC, Other half got xp too on her main machine but on laptop got Vista Premium.

But it will take a while for me to migrate from xp to vista. Install vista couple times uninstall couple times and then eventually it stays. Well thats what happened when i went from ME to XP.

I upgraded to Vista when I bought my new computer last year and I much prefer it over XP. It's responsive, even on my aging 2GB Ram Athlon 6000+ and an X1950 pro. At a guess, I get about 6-8 UAC prompts a week which hasn't crossed over into being annoying. I like sleep mode.

Horses for courses though.

Still on Xp on my Desktop and Laptop.

Will go with Vista on my new rig.
