Most of us either still have a PC or saw the light and changed over to Mac whilst being here.

We get more and more users switching. Strangely not many switch back... ;)

I won't be switching as I like to upgrade my PC to the latest tech on a regular basis.

Plus I like to have kudos.

Not black baseball pumps with black denim jeans when i'm in my fortys!

Dell PCs are nice but the amount of bloatwares that come with it is unbelievable and slows down the whole system. I don't know how Dell can think it's ok to force the craps in customers' systems.

To rub the salt into wound, system restore even has bloatwares in it! To get rid of it, you either to have to get a original Windows disc or uninstall applications.

Though, its fine for me buying one for myself but not for friends'!

Very true; I got my Mum a Dell Dimension C521 during the Summer while I was staying with her (she paid, I specced it for her), and it came with a fair amount of crap installed already. Bit disappointing, but easily sorted after a clean install. Not everyone is up to that task though.

Still, can't complain, the entire package (brand new) was £352, and that was for a dual-core Athlon64, 1GB of RAM, DVD-RW, 320GB HDD, Vista Home Premium and a 20" widescreen display. Absolute bargain.

I must admit that having both is a tad sad.

If the mac was true functional piece of hardware then one would not need another computer.

I have a PC and have no need for a MAC.

Get me now?

Agreed and Dell is also great for the first timers who don't want to fork out more than £300 on computers! I believe that software companies pay Dell to have their software installed on all computers hence lower the price for customers...

Well we dont live in a perfect world so we have to in other areas of life aswell have 2 things or have 1 thing and not the other, fortunatelly with computers we can have a choice lol and i choose to have a pc for gaming and overclocking and a mac for everything else

Mac users have no need for a PC unless they want to game hardcore, with vmware and parallels they no longer need a pc to run windows lol

so you bought a mac for office apps, and the web? wise investment.

so you spent hundred's on a pc just so you could fix other peoples?

i think i've found out that basically mac users have more money than sense.
Not at all. It is a rusty 4 years old PC with XP and I have no foreseen future to upgrade it. Runs great with XP so why would I want to degrade its matured performance with the install of Vista! :o

Thats the beauty of PC.

What can your MAC do that my PC cannot?

Other than compute DATA slower?
