And only spin a very short time in the opposite direction? Why don’t they work they same as washing machines where they change direction frequently? Bedding ends up in a great big knotted ball when it comes out of the tumble dryer and has to go back in again multiple times until it is dry.

mines goes in once, and then onto a clothes horse

I don't use the dryer function of my washing machine, my smart meter sends abusive messages to me so i tend to use the dehumidifier clothes drying function

This proves the world is flat, otherwise the spin would be longer.

Your move, scientists.

Bedsheets are indeed very annoying in the dryer. Everything magically ends up inside the sheet.
Even my Samsung which does seem to spend as much time in both directions does it.

Don’t buy a Bosch heat pump dryer as they only spin in one direction unless you buy the very top 8 series model
Found this out after buying a 6 series one for £650 :(

Edit: after looking at Bosch website there new 6 series now do reverse tumble

My crap Hotpoint washer-dryer spins in both directions, 10 seconds each by the looks of it (it's on now so just checked).

The drum is quite small though so you need to run it for ages to get things reasonably dry.

This is the cotton dry mode, I might have a play with the programmes to see if I can find something better.
Cubboard dry is more than enough, they don't need to be bone dry coming out.
Expect greta at your door tomorrow morning for not using a cloths line/horse/drying rack indoors.
