Firstly, can a don add the poll options in please? :)

Secondly, this thread isn't an excuse for non-smokers to have a go at smokers, it's for discussing how and why people smoke.

I still don't understand why so many people smoke, so hopefully a sample result will throw some light on why people do it. :)

so that we non-smokers can see the poll results without voting something untrue?

I also don't see why so many people start smoking these days when the health risks are so well known.
 
4) I go to a grammar school, I have the suit and at friday lunch times, me and me mates go for a pub lunch. You can't beat keepting up apperances with a glass of whiskey and a good cigar. ;)
 
Started at 14 and I actually now enjoy smoking, although I do want to quit at some point soon.
 
I don't smoke as its a disgusting and selfish thing to do :)

Never tried it, mainly due to playing a lot of sports and not wanting to smell like an ash tray.
 
I dont actually smoke, but for some reason when i find out people smoke who I didn't know before i find it quite strange, for some reason i just think of smoking as bad, not because its bad for you but as in its ya know bad. Like smoking crack is bad.

When i found out my gf smoked I just thought it was a little weird, does anyone else know what im saying or do i sound like a raving loon? :p
 
I used to smoke, well when I say "used to" I actually mean not inhaled them. This was for the pure fact that I worked in a shop where everyone else smoked, and as a result they all went outside for a smoke leaving me indoors working alone. So I guess it was a social thing coupled with gaining more breaks from work.

Soon quit when I realised I stank of smoke :(
 
I smoke because im addicted to it:(, mind you i gotta give up one of these days...just need to find some willpower to do it:p
 
I used to smoke ages ago, a friend offered me one, I wanted to see what it was like, enjoyed it and was on 1 a day, so I didn't smell or get addicted. Stopped when I didn't really feel like doing it anymore.

edit: went to a hubbly bubbly bar yesterday, smoked a hookah there but I don't do it often.

Advocating drug use usually gets threads closed. It doesn't have to be in the FAQ, but these forums are part of the OcUK brand. Having threads about smoking substances doesn't portray the company in a good light, even if the drug taking is innocent and harmless.
