erm, you sure it's you quad the girls are looking at?

I have to say that I don't do it predominantly for the sexual chase, I'd like to think it makes me more attractive or certainly desirable, but I'm doing it predominantly for me believe it or not.![]()

After seeing your deadlift video I can totally believe that. Obviously if there were a bunch of women around you while you were doing that sort of thing, then one could argue you were showing off, but we know that wasnt the case.
Now, if all you ever did was chest, biceps and abs, then one would suspect that you were doing it for the ladies.

And no MTA, bicep boys arnt sneaking past me, my british accent, incredible looks and ravishing physique all draw them to me like a scrap car to that big ole magnet![]()

However, I started lifting weights whilst in a relationship, and I'm not interested in the stereotypical abz 'n' bicepz look as we all agree. I like doing my power exercises, and I like to build strength as well as size. For me size and strength are equally as important.
... my british accent,
I admit if it makes me more attractive then it's great - but it's not going to change my facial looks is it?
Ken, are you British by birth? How did you attain the British accent, given that you are located in the USA?

There are these magic things called planes these days.![]()
I'm sure there are some women who go for the big/bald look. Just as there are some men who go for women who are not classically beautiful.
For Fight Club, Brad Pitt wouldve done a lot of work to get so lean. Remember, it isnt just the big/muscular guys who spend time working out. The thin, lean guys also spend time working out. In fact, I spend a lot more time in the gym when I'm leaning out than when buildling up.
)Ive gotta disagree with you on this one FF.
When people are leaner (leaning out - shedding bodyfat, getting ripped), their face will also look leaner and better/worse. Similarly, when bulking up their face will look fuller/fatter/fleshier.
So, your training and the amount you are eating (your physical state) can dictate what your face looks like, for better or for worse.
Myself, I prefer a leaner face, hence, when leaning out, my face looks better than when I'm bulking, when it looks rounder.
But anyway, all this talk of "looks" is detracting from what is a bodybuilding thread where men can be men and worry only about building muscle and nothing else.

I moved here 3 years ago![]()
Are you happy you made the move to the USA?
Do you ever wish you could move back to the UK?
I was being self deprecating - i.e. if you're an ugly **** it won't change that fact!![]()
Definitely MUCH happier. Nothing at all that I can find thats bad about the US and where I live. I would never ever move back the UK except to somewhere like Docklands. But still no I would never move back.
I've said it before but 99% of people in the gym are doing it for the sex............the other 1%? Liars!!

D) and just having those pretty faces would definitely give me a higher drive to attend the gym more often/physically try harder etc... The only downside with that is that it will probably cost twice as much and is not as local as the first gym (say another 2 miles travelling).

Disagree. I wouldn't pile on 1 & 1/2 stone or more throughout the winter months if I wanted to look good for the girls. I do it solely for strength and to better my lift PBs. The only reason I'm cutting now is so I don't end up a 40 stone monster in 10 or so years timeThis is true. Deep down, everyone knows that![]()
