What are the mice used in education nowadays? Corded optical? I can't see them getting laser… Unless you were in the CAD classes.
Remember the plotter days in school? There just wasn't enough hours in school for all the great stuff. Designing something and 1 hour felt like 10 minutes.
There was always some idiot swinging a T-Square. Or pouring a load of pencil sharpenings over people.
Kids in high school will destroy/vandalise stuff out of frustration.
From minor annoyances like swapping usb cables, unplugging stuff, to actually punching or pressing something sharp against the screen, putting crap in the dvd players, destroying tweeters, stealing mice, etc...
I was ****ed once in high school and disabled a whole row of pc's by setting a bios password ( stupid IT guys didn't protect the bios). They were ''offline'' for a week with cards ''out of use because of vandalism'' on the screens, stupid idiots could have reset the cmos in the same time.
Teenagers ruined it out of sheer badness. Metal workshop and the wood shop classes were ruined in my time with what we could do.
Chisels were no longer allowed as I'm sure you're aware. Stabbing devices. Even using the belt sanders was no longer allowed due to people sanding wood away into spiked sticks. It became so bad in the mid 90s teachers just left the rooms since all the machines were locked down and people throwing the wooden stools around the class since they thought it was hilarious.
I absolutely loved the metal and wood workshops before it was ruined. Especially later on when we got into working and heating/bending plastics into shapes. That too was also ruined. :/ Same for art class and the potters wheel. Scalpel knives, yeah right!
Luckily we had an awesome art teacher, he wasn't a big brush type of person. Those who ruined it for others were banished. Those of us that were trust worthy were allowed to get on with our projects.
Sadly I can't remember his name as this was back in 94 - 96.
I think it's the reason why I'm so possessive with my stuff even to this day. From all the years through school and college, people ruined the equipment or your own stuff. "lighten up" "its just a laugh" "wee joke"
