Why does my sig keep on getting edited?

We can issue infractions for it, but then you get people making threads moaning about getting infractions for things like this and oversized images *cough*.

Mine isn't oversized...I couldn't make it any smaller...signature I mean, not anything else... :p

There's always the PM system.

Not sure if that is aimed at me? What PM system? The only "PM" I've ever had is when I've received and infraction. :p

I will email a mod via trust (as I did when my sig was removed, I emailed Nath) should I feel the need to contact a mod. Unfortunately not everyone knows what is going on so you can email someone and they won't know why things have happened...understandable, nobody can know everything. :)

What PM system?

there is no PM system as ha been said millions of times in the past...

All you good boys and naysayers don't see this page. :p

To be honest theres a lot of people on here with Sigs of women in lingerie which is very hard to view the forums at work. Cant your put more restrictions on that or something because I like to browse these forums without having to worry about someone with a stupid picture of a women wearing basically nothing....

You could request that sigs are turned off, Im sure a few other forums have this functionality for individuals to switch them off in the control panel.

anyone?

Confusion, maybe, briefly...but having supposedly no idea why his sig was edited just because someone linked the wrong section seems odd. I'd have guessed straight away, especially with 1k posts under my belt.

Feigning ignorance much? And Invader, the difference with yours was that your sig genuinely didn't break any rules. This case is completely different, in that it broke rules, just not the one that was referenced. So, thanks for the story, but...

Also what rule did my deleted post break jokester? Not having much luck today, are you :D.

Wrong end of the stick (again)!

a) It doesn't matter how long your sig has been that way

b) If pictures of women in close to their natural state cause you offense or problems at work, browse the forums in your private time

c) If someone with 3k+ posts mentions the PM system, they're probably trolling

Well I was kind of telling the truth, yes there is a PM system but most people only get a PM if they have received an infraction. It would be nice to leverage this system (read only of course) for things like breaking the signature rule.

EDIT: To the above post, yep that's a downside of PMs.

I find it best not to have one now.
Mine had been present and unchanged for a number of months when it was removed and the usual anonymous link to the faq.
When I questioned what was wrong my sig was changed again (anonymously) with a threat. I responded to that and was suspended.
I find the anonymous nature of the profile editing to be unsavoury and would have preferred the mod who made the change to have been communicative rather than handled it in the heavy handed way he did.

I don't like it when you make sense and I find myself nodding at your comments.
